Since Polaroid film was discontinued in 2008 and what remains of it is long expired, I occasionally search eBay for sealed film packs that have been properly stored in a refrigerator. I began noticing that the search terms “Polaroid” + “refrigerator” often yielded actual Polaroid photographs of people in their kitchens. I was moved by the reoccurrence of this seemingly ordinary yet very specific snapshot. These are some of the photographs I found.
